Jesus made this declaration:
“I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no man comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
Jesus did not say, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no man comes to the Father except through me or Buddha or Krishna or perhaps a few other highly regarded avatars.
Nor did Jesus say no man comes to the Father except through me and anyone else who sincerely believes they are me.
Never did Jesus say, I am one of many ways to the truth and the life.
Not once did Jesus say, I am the way through Christ-consciousness for you to realize that you yourself are God. Jesus most emphatically did not say that.
Neither did Jesus say, no man comes to the Father except through me, at least until Joseph Smith, Charles Taze Russell, Mary Baker Eddy, and many others in the mid-1800s come along to redefine me.
Or, until there is a Pope to represent me and my father.
Or, until Mohammed comes along to supplant me with a sword.
Or, unless you can figure out another way.
Or, until by subjective reasoning, you have rationalized and reduced me to fit into your own preconditions.
Or, until you, in your great wisdom, have graciously allotted me a place in history as that of a great teacher among many.
Or, unless you are 100% sincere in your denial of me and my father.
Or, until some other son of some false god comes along to tickle your ears with something you like better.
No, Jesus did not say any of those things. He said exactly what He said, and He meant it precisely like He said it.
“I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no man comes to the Father except through me.”
Jesus never told one single lie, and that is the simple truth.
Jesus loves me; this I know. Because He laid down His life for me.
Jesus and His Father are one. They always have been and always will be.
Redefining Jesus on one’s own terms does not alter or change who He really is in the least.
Jesus predicted that many would come in His name and yet preach and teach another Jesus. No matter how many do that, the real Jesus remains the same yesterday, today, and forever.
The real Jesus, being perfect, is never changing. The “another Jesus,” of which there are many, is always changing.
Jesus spoke Absolute Truth. Absolute Truth is an unbreakable anchor upon the deep sea of contradictions.
Lord of Lords and King of Kings. No man compares to Jesus in either category.
The Greatest Love ever known was and is embodied in Jesus, and so is the Greatest Power.
Some come along teaching “another Jesus,” and some come along proclaiming that it is they themselves who are Jesus. None of these impersonators are ever anything at all like the real Jesus.
If someone commits an evil act in the name of Jesus, you can be absolutely certain that Jesus had nothing whatsoever to do with it.
Jesus’ counterfeits are in abundance. The real Jesus is a league apart, one of a kind, and wonderful beyond description.
Jesus wants to give you the gifts of salvation and eternal life, but He will not violate your free will. He will give you these gifts at any time and any place you choose to receive them.
Without a doubt, the most important question anyone will ever ask themself is this one: Who do you believe Jesus Christ truly is?
If you have read these words, please accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior today. You will be so glad you did. Invite Him into your heart right now and meet the greatest friend you will ever have. The friendship will last for all eternity (Romans 10:9-10).
Your friend in Jesus,
